- What: The Company Account Icon (CAI) tool helps users more easily identify which Dynamics AX company they are working in. With the feature turned on, the company logo will be displayed as an icon at the bottom edge of almost all forms in Dynamics AX. This is useful for Dynamics AX installations which host a more than one company accounts, and when certain users frequently work across multiple companies. The feature can be toggled on or off at the user level. Even if the Dynamics AX installation only has one company account, this tool adds a visual enhancement to the application, and reinforces its role as a system customized for your company.
- When: You wish you could easily tell which company you’re working in without looking at the company code in the status bar.
- Why: The visual cue of a company logo will make work easier for users and reduce the chance of data manipulation in the wrong company and the extra work required to reverse those errors.
