- What: The Compare Two Records (CTR) function allows you to highlight two records in a grid, and then see which fields do not match. This can be very useful when troubleshooting why a function works one way for one record and another way for another record.
- When: You wish you could see what is the difference between these two records. You wish you could figure out why this works and that doesn’t.
- Why: Reduce the time to investigate errors where one record performs in a certain way but another performs differently.
- Examples: (1) One item has an issue when posting an invoice, but another doesn’t and you want to see what is setup differently to investigate the reason. (2) You suspect you have a duplicate customer record, the compare tool can indicate what fields are the same or different.
